The South Dade Buccaneers will take on the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hialeah-Miami Lakes will be up against a hot South Dade squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. South Dade put the hurt on TERRA Environmental with a sharp 16-1 win on Thursday.
A. Guedes was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on B. Cuellar, who scored four runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of A. Tomas, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
South Dade kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Hialeah-Miami Lakes won against Westland Hialeah on Monday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Everything went Hialeah-Miami Lakes' way against Goleman as Hialeah-Miami Lakes made off with a 16-6 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Marya Hicks made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Hicks was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances.
In other batting news, Cyeanna Delva was incredible, scoring four runs while getting on base in five of her nine plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ashnelle Arias, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Hialeah-Miami Lakes' win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Dade, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. South Dade hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .447. However, it's not like Hialeah-Miami Lakes struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
