The King's Academy Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 25 points or more this season. They blew past Concord Christian 74-49. Winning may never get old, but King's Academy sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
It was another big night for Brady Branam, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 19 rebounds. The match was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Skylar Walden, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 assists.
King's Academy pushed their record up to 7-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.33 points. As for Concord Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.
King's Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Knoxville Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Knoxville Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than King's Academy in Tennessee (Knoxville Catholic is ranked fifth, while King's Academy is ranked 29th). As for Concord Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Providence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Providence Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
