Wallace is 2-8 against Dundy County-Stratton since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wallace Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dundy County-Stratton Tigers.
Wallace suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2023 on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 53-31 loss at the hands of Paxton. Wallace was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-10.
Wallace's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kendyl Flaming, who scored 13 points, and Kaley Sauser who scored two points along with five rebounds and three steals. Sauser hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Meanwhile, Dundy County-Stratton earned a 52-40 victory over Medicine Valley on Thursday. That's two games straight that Dundy County-Stratton has won by exactly 12 points.
Dundy County-Stratton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Laynee Lutz led the charge by scoring 19 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lutz has scored all season. Alyssa Schneider was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Wallace has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Dundy County-Stratton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.
