Perry is 8-2 against Basha since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Perry Pumas will be playing in front of their home fans against the Basha Bears at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Perry is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Arizona (they are ranked fifth, while Basha is ranked 45th).
Perry has not lost a match since January 11th, a trend which continued in their latest game last Thursday. They and Chandler finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Perry has been dealt a draw since back in December of 2023.
They avoided a loss thanks to
Tyler Haren and
Caden Santos, who posted both of Perry's goals. The pair have combined for a total of nine so far this season.
Meanwhile, with a playoff game on the line, Basha rose to the challenge on Thursday. They never let the Tigers onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for Basha who now have three in a row.
Perry's draw makes their record 14-4-2 this season. As for Basha, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.
Perry beat Basha by a goal in their previous matchup back in January, winning 3-2. Does Perry have another victory up their sleeve, or will Basha turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
