The Central Valley Christian Cavaliers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tulare Union The Tribe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Central Valley Christian sitting on eight straight victories and Tulare Union on three.
With a playoff game on the line, Central Valley Christian rose to the challenge on Friday. They put the hurt on Tehachapi with a sharp 48-27 win. The result was nothing new for Central Valley Christian, who have now won nine matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Bryson Donelson and AJ Anderson. Donelson had a great game and rushed for 391 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Anderson was balling out in the loss, rushing for 242 yards while picking up 8.6 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, even though Kingsburg scored an imposing 42 points on Friday, Tulare Union still came out on top. Tulare Union took their matchup against Kingsburg 49-42.
Tulare Union found their leader in underclassman Jordan Crisp, who threw for 349 yards and five touchdowns while completing 79.3% of his passes, and also punched in a rushing score. Crisp hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Tieler Peterson, who rushed for 166 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
Central Valley Christian has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 11-1 record. As for Tulare Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
