The Dekaney Wildcats came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Nimitz 50-21 at home. The result was nothing new for Dekaney, who have now won five games by 24 points or more so far this season.
Dekaney found their leader in underclassman Samaritan Cunningham, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Tanook Hines was another key contributor, picking up 106 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Dekaney's victory was their third straight at home , which pushed their record up to 8-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45.33 points. As for Nimitz, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Dekaney will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Oak Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Dekaney likes a good challenge. As for Nimitz, they will square off against Willis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Willis is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
