The Owensboro Red Devils were the 77-74 winner over the Evansville Harrison Warriors when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Owensboro had to suffer through a rough 84-47 loss at the hands of Evansville Harrison. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Owensboro has scored all season.
Leading Evansville Harrison to victory were Shane Sims and Malachi Mcnair. Sims scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists, while Mcnair dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Sims pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jay Summitt, who scored seven points along with ten assists and seven rebounds.
Owensboro are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11. As for Evansville Harrison, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3.
Owensboro will head out on the road to take on Christian County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Evansville Harrison, they will be playing at home against Evansville Bosse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Evansville Bosse will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Evansville Harrison is ranked 16th).
