Barnegat and Central Regional are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Barnegat Bengals will head out on the road to face off against the Central Regional Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Barnegat had to suffer through a rough 68-28 loss at the hands of Manchester Township. Barnegat was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-11.
Meanwhile, Central Regional took a serious blow against Neptune on Wednesday, falling 69-37. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central Regional in their matchups with Neptune: they've now lost four in a row.
Barnegat's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Central Regional, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Barnegat strolled past Central Regional when the teams last played back in January by a score of 53-34. Does Barnegat have another victory up their sleeve, or will Central Regional turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
