St. Bernard's stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hoopa Valley 74-38 on the road. With St. Bernard's ahead 39-16 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Ferndale was beaten by the Cubs 71-41 on Wednesday. Ferndale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-18.
St. Bernard's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Ferndale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for St. Bernard's against the Wildcats in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 75-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Bernard's since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
