It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-26, which was the final score in Atlanta International's tilt against Whitefield Academy on Friday. Atlanta International was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-9.
Meanwhile, even though Covenant Christian Academy scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, Notre Dame Academy still came out on top. Notre Dame Academy walked away with a 64-57 victory over Covenant Christian Academy. The victory was just what Notre Dame Academy needed coming off of a 101-36 defeat in their prior contest.
Hiram Balthazar and Jakobi Henriques were among the main playmakers for Notre Dame Academy as the former almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds and the latter scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Henriques is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season. Will Borah was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Atlanta International dropped their record down to 3-20 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Notre Dame Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-16.
