The Moriarty Pintos came into Saturday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged Pojoaque Valley out 51-48. This was payback for Moriarty, who suffered a 55-48 loss the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Jordan Brown, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 19 points and 2 assists. Another player making a difference was Aidyn Pacheco, who scored 11 points.
Moriarty's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Pojoaque Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.
Moriarty will head out on the road to challenge Robertson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Robertson will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Moriarty surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pojoaque Valley, they will be playing at home against Los Alamos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Alamos is coming into the contest with four straight losses on the road, so Pojoaque Valley is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
