Brandon is 9-1 against Terry since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Brandon Bulldogs will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Terry Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. Brandon is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 53-24, which was the final score in Brandon's tilt against Germantown on December 8th. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brandon has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Terry lost to Starkville on the road by a decisive 38-23 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Terry can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Starkville is ranked 15th).
Despite the loss, Terry saw an underclassman step up: Madison Jones scored six points along with six rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Toniah Watts, who scored two points along with seven rebounds.
Brandon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Terry, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.
Brandon strolled past Terry in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 56-38. Does Brandon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Terry turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
