Softball Recap: Kennett Sets Scoring Season-High Against Kingswood

Kennett had lost three straight at home, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 2-6 to make it four. They fell 11-7 to the Kingswood Knights. On the bright side, the seven- run effort marked the Eagles' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Kingswood, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3. They haven't had any issues with Kennett recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

For Kingswood's part, Cae B and Cassidy L did most of the damage at the plate: B went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one double, while L went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That double was B's first of the season. Anna J was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennett will face off against Berlin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kingswood, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Campbell at 4:00 p.m.
