Hoopa Valley won the last time they faced Ferndale, and Brandon Romero did his part to make sure it happened again. The Hoopa Valley Warriors walked away with a 68-58 win over the Ferndale Wildcats on Monday thanks in part to Romero, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and ten boards. Those 30 points gave him a new career-high.
The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Richards, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. Hoopa Valley is 13-4 when Richards posts eight or more boards, but 2-5 otherwise.
Hoopa Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points over those games. As for Ferndale, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.
