The Meridian Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 51-32 bruising from Diller-Odell. Meridian lost against Diller-Odell in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 60-28 score last time.
Leading Diller-Odell to victory were Zachary Warren and Cooper Morgan. Warren dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, while Morgan scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Warren set a new season high mark in steals with five.
Meridian's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-6. As for Diller-Odell, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Meridian will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewiston on Tuesday. Lewiston is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Diller-Odell won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tri County at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. Tri County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Diller-Odell in Nebraska (Tri County is ranked 34th, while Diller-Odell is ranked 164th).
