After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Lancaster Catholic, Octorara Area was happy to have turned things around  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Pequea Valley as they made off with  an  11-3 victory. Considering Octorara Area has won ten matches by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Alivia Romero made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with three  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since April 4th.
 In other batting news,  Devyn Harrington and  Delaney Amole did most of the damage at the plate:  Harrington  went 4-for-5 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI, while  Amole  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. Those  four  hits gave  Harrington a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Hailey Tidd, who  got on base  in two of her five plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
Octorara Area is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Pequea Valley, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Octorara Area will face off against Kennett at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Braves are facing the Blue Demons at the right time seeing as the Blue Demons are stuck on  an  eight-game losing streak. As for Pequea Valley, they will take on Camp Hill at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday.
