Dalton Will and Eli Crone provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Friends. The connection went for 76 yards, the longest such play in Mid-Atlantic Christian this season.
Central Virginia HomeSchool's Chris Bullock rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Fairfax HomeSchool last week. Bullock ran for 65 yards on the play and finished with 172 on the day as his team bested the Kings.
Central Maryland Christian Crusaders's dynamic duo of Will and Brady Ripple proved tough for the Quakers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Will threw for 149 yards and one touchdown and Ripple had 146 yards receiving. Zach Weaver helped Central Maryland Christian Crusaders' passing attack out by catching one ball for three yards.
The Crusaders' Will and Ripple have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Will has thrown for 569 yards this season, while Ripple, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has eight catches for 191 yards. Bullock from Central Virginia HomeSchool leads the league in rushing with 948 yards.
The top two teams in Mid-Atlantic Christian will face off this week when first place Central Virginia HomeSchool takes on second place Central Maryland Christian Crusaders. Dave Hollis' team topped Fairfax HomeSchool last week, while Central Maryland Christian Crusaders lost to Friends.
The Disciples' Bullock needs only 52 yards against Mark Zinnamosca's team next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
There should be lots of points scored when Central Virginia HomeSchool and the Crusaders face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Disciples comes in having scored 244 this season, while Central Maryland Christian Crusaders has scored 109. Central Virginia HomeSchool scored 42 points last week as it bested Phil DuBois' team.
The Disciples extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Kings, 42-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for Central Virginia HomeSchool.
