Basketball Game Preview: Admiral Farragut BlueJackets vs. Northside Christian Mustangs

The Admiral Farragut BlueJackets will face off against the Northside Christian Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Admiral Farragut is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season.

Admiral Farragut took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Out-of-Door Academy with a sharp 66-43 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the BlueJackets have posted since February 2, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Admiral Farragut to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marco De Carvalho, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds De Carvalho has posted since back in January of 2024. Hayden Hundt was another key player, putting up 15 points and five rebounds.

Admiral Farragut smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Northside Christian came up short against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate on Thursday and fell 57-48. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Phoenix recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Admiral Farragut is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Northside Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Admiral Farragut beat Northside Christian 57-44 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Will Admiral Farragut repeat their success, or does Northside Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
