Softball Recap: Desales Has No Trouble Against Goldendale

DeSales won the last time they faced Goldendale and things went their way on Saturday too. DeSales put the hurt on Goldendale with a sharp 14-4 win. The Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

DeSales let Jeyten Strnadel and Theresa Holtzinger run wild. Strnadel scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2, while Holtzinger scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Holtzinger is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Janie Doohan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

DeSales' victory bumped their record up to 5-1-1. As for Goldendale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, DeSales will face off against Tournament Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Goldendale, they will square off against Stevenson at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
