If the Surprise Valley Hornets were feeling good off their 64-39 takedown of Bethel Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Surprise Valley took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Happy Camp on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Surprise Valley has scored all season.
Happy Camp got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jason Day out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luis Osorio, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Surprise Valley now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Happy Camp, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Surprise Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Butte Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Happy Camp, they will head out on the road to face off against Dunsmuir at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
