The Kokomo HomeSchool Eagles's five-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They managed a 30-25 victory over Varsity Opponent. That's another feather in the cap for Kokomo HomeSchool, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Kokomo HomeSchool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Megan Hufford, who scored four points along with 15 rebounds. Georgia Hogsett was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Kokomo HomeSchool's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9. As for Varsity Opponent, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 103-364.
Kokomo HomeSchool will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Colonial Christian at 5:30 p.m. on February 8th. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to challenge Victory Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
