As for Columbia, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-7. Considering they have won 12 matchups by more than nine  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
On Columbia's side,  Sadie Schulke was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). Schulke was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with two  runs.
 In other pitching news,  Alina Jones looked comfortable as she  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 Back at the plate,  Bree Heidecker was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with ten  RBI, three  doubles,  and one  stolen base. Those  five  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Grace Anderson, who  got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with four  runs and five  RBI.
