If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Caldwell. They will take on Oxford at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Caldwell are cruising in on a four-game winning streak while Oxford are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses.
Caldwell strolled past Argonia/Attica with points to spare last Friday, taking the matchup 32-12. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (26) and coasted on those for the win.
Meanwhile, Oxford took a serious blow against Medicine Lodge, falling 0-48.
Caldwell's victory lifted them to 4-0 while Oxford's loss dropped them down to 0-4. We'll see if Caldwell's success rolls on or if Oxford are able to steal their positive momentum.
