Mattanawcook came tearing into Thursday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Foxcroft Academy Ponies. The Lynx might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Julianna Cloukey made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Cloukey was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Addison Cyr was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Megan House, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Mattanawcook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Mattanawcook pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Foxcroft Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Mattanawcook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Foxcroft Academy, they will face off against Maine Central Institute on Tuesday.
