Ponderosa was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lewis-Palmer apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Leading Lewis-Palmer to victory were Rylee Edmondson and Kendall Lane. Edmondson scored 24 points, while Lane scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Edmondson has scored at least 25% of Lewis-Palmer's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Lordino, who scored 5 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Ponderosa's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lewis-Palmer, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Ponderosa will take on Grand Junction at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lewis-Palmer, they will head out on the road to face off against Pueblo County at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Pueblo County is ranked 78th, while Lewis-Palmer is ranked 56th).
