Papillion-LaVista waltzed into their game on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Omaha Central Eagles by a score of 63-56. This was a revenge game for the Monarchs: when they faced off against the Eagles back in December of 2024, they had to take a 58-55 loss.

Papillion-LaVista got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sam Boudreau out in front who shot 50% from the field to rack up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of DeMarcus McCarty, who posted 14 points.

Papillion-LaVista was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Omaha Central only four assists.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lenox Haynes, who put up 21 points and five rebounds. Evan Rodgers was another key player, going 6-for-14 en route to 16 points and seven boards.

Papillion-LaVista pushed their record up to 14-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points over those games. As for Omaha Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Papillion-LaVista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-45 victory against Westview on the 3rd. Omaha Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
