After winning its second straight Ohio Division I state title, Archbishop Moeller from Cincinnati is this year's Midwest high school football champion.

The Crusaders won their second consecutive and ninth overall Division I state championship by handing No. 8 Mentor its second loss 55-52. Division I title-game records were set by Moeller with 55 points, Moeller star
Gus Ragland with five rushing touchdowns (he ran for 189 yards and drilled 12 of 13 passes for 273 yards and three more touchdowns) and the game's total yardage of 1,136.
Isaiah Gentry caught seven passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns.

Christian Wersel each made 10 tackles.

The Tigers won their first Division II state championship by handing Glenville (Cleveland) its second loss, 41-23, at snow-filled Canton Fawcett Stadium. Freshman
Luke Waddell rushed for 175 yards and one touchdown, while the defense accounted for seven turnovers. The champs set a Division II title-game record by exploding for 27 points in the second quarter.
