Gilman had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Owen-Withee Blackhawks with a sharp 18-3 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won seven contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Gilman's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Owen-Withee, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Coincidentally, Gilman and Owen-Withee will both be playing Flambeau the next time they take the field. The Blackhawks will head out to face the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Pirates will head out to face them on Monday.
