The Neuse Charter Cougars will be playing at home against the Rosewood Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Neuse Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Friday.
Last Friday, Neuse Charter came up short against Hobbton and fell 58-45.
Despite the defeat, Neuse Charter got a solid performance out of Jayvin Bradley, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That was a full 62.2% of Neuse Charter's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Atkinson, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Rosewood only won by three when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 41-point they dealt Union on Friday. Rosewood blew past Union, posting a 58-17 victory at home. That 41 points margin sets a new team best for Rosewood this season.
It was another big night for Julius Coltrane, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Cam Medlin was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Neuse Charter bumped their record down to 5-15 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Rosewood, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Neuse Charter have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 29 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Rosewood struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 30.9 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Neuse Charter suffered a grim 60-38 defeat to Rosewood in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Will Neuse Charter have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
