Brayden Fox was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Fox has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive pitching appearances. Fox was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Blake Pisarcik was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Aiden Snowberger, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Johnsonburg now has a losing record at 6-7. As for DuBois Central Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7-1 record this season.
Johnsonburg couldn't quite finish off DuBois Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 and fell 3-1. Thankfully for Johnsonburg, Carter Hickman (who didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched) won't be suiting up this time.
