The Hardee Wildcats suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by Frostproof on the road and fell 82-43. Hardee has struggled against Frostproof recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Hardee lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Phoenix Romeo, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tedrick Simon, who scored nine points.
Sevastian Rosado continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Frostproof, scoring 38 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Rosado has scored at least a third of Frostproof's points. Another player making a difference was Daiveon Pittman, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Hardee's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Frostproof, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hardee will face off against Fort Meade at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Averaging 60.5 so far this season, Fort Meade's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Hardee better be ready for a challenge. As for Frostproof, they will head out on the road to challenge Lakeland Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lakeland Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
