Trinity waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the West Perry Mustangs with a sharp 38-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Shamrocks, who have now won four matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.
Trinity's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Harris, who rushed for 98 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another passer making a difference was Mason Boyer, who threw for 155 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes.
Trinity didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mason Noecker and Brody Dunlap. Noecker is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Trinity got some further help from Marcus Yeager: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Trinity's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for West Perry, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-2 record.
