The Hapeville Charter Hornets lost against the Stone Mountain Pirates back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Hapeville Charter took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stone Mountain. Hapeville Charter has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hapeville Charter's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Goldson, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Goldson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. Miguel Hannah jr. was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Hapeville Charter's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-12. As for Stone Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 8-16.
Hapeville Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stone Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clarkston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clarkston is coming into the game with five straight victories on the road, meaning Stone Mountain will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
