Conant hadn't beaten Elk Grove on the road since September 20, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Cougars walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Grenadiers. Give Conant's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Ben Schaefers and Kacper Niziolek scored both of Conant's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Conant has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-3 record this season. As for Elk Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1.
