The University Titans will venture away from home to challenge the Deltona Wolves at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Deltona will take on a team with plenty of momentum: University extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Titans never let Taylor get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory. The contest marked the Titans' most dominant win of the season so far.
Madison McCormick made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Aylssa Collins was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Makayla Palmer, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
University always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, Deltona got the win against Atlantic on Thursday by a conclusive 15-0.
The team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Caruso, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Daisy Dickerson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
University now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Deltona, their record is now 4-2.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. University hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Deltona struggles in that department as they've averaged .497. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
