The Catawba Ridge Copperheads can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat York 75-45 at home. The win was nothing new for Catawba Ridge as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Catawba Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lance Barnes, who scored 20 points along with four steals. Barnes hasn't dropped below 20 points for six straight games. Zyan Hager was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with three steals.
When it comes to explaining why York lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryson Steele. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Wilkins-Graham, who scored four points.
Catawba Ridge pushed their record up to 20-2 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.1 points. As for York, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.
Catawba Ridge will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bruins at 7:45 p.m. Lancaster is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for York, they will head out on the road to challenge the Trojans at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Northwestern is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
