It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Corona del Mar Sea Kings had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 40-21 victory over Paraclete. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Corona del Mar.
Annett Kaleb had a dynamite game for Corona del Mar, throwing for 207 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in two touchdowns on the ground. Kaleb has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Wyatt Lucas was another key contributor, gaining 88 total yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Paraclete still got an impressive performance from Tyler Soles, who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 235 yards and a touchdown.
Corona del Mar's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Paraclete, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.
Corona del Mar will head out on the road to face off against Santa Barbara at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Santa Barbara will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. Paraclete does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
