The Thomas Dale Knights put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Osbourn Park 81-40 at home. Thomas Dale has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 23 points or more this season.
Leading Thomas Dale to victory were Nylah Wilson and Syvannah Dawson. Wilson scored 27 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Dawson scored 19 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Dawson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Timani Harris, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Thomas Dale's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.8 points per game. As for Osbourn Park, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomas Dale will take on Deep Run at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Deep Run will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 59th, while Thomas Dale is ranked first). As for Osbourn Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Battlefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
