The Highlands Bluebirds will square off against the Anderson Raptors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Highlands, who comes in off a win.
Highlands had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Boone County on Monday. The Bluebirds were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Rebels. The result was nothing new for the Bluebirds, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Brooks Hendrix made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Another player making a difference was Max McNay, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Highlands kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boone County only managed seven hits.
Meanwhile, Anderson came up short against Little Miami on Monday and fell 9-4. The Raptors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Hudson Best was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Highlands has been performing well recently as they've won 17 of their last 22 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Anderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Highlands hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. However, it's not like Anderson struggles in that department as they've averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
