Wisner-Pilger is no doubt hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, Wisner-Pilger ended up a good deal behind Laurel-Concord-Coleridge and lost 63-45. Wisner-Pilger has not had much luck with Laurel-Concord-Coleridge recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Madison sidestepped Tekamah-Herman for a 49-46 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Madison has posted against Tekamah-Herman since February 7, 2020.
Wisner-Pilger's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Madison, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 11-9.
Wisner-Pilger was able to grind out a solid victory over Madison when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 58-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wisner-Pilger since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
