Carroll hadn't beaten Eastern on the road since May 12, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them  on Friday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp  11-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won nine games by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
 Charlotte Kingery made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   ten  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Bree Hoke was  incredible,  going 4-for-5 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and one  double. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high.  Madi Isley was another key player,  going 3-for-5 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Carroll  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 15  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in four consecutive  matchups.
Carroll pushed their record up to 10-6 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Eastern,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-20.
 Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  an  11-8  defeat against Peru on the 17th.
