There's no place like home for the NYOS Charter Jaguars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road back in December of 2023. That result was just more of the same for these two, as NYOS Charter also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead NYOS Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trey Huff, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Huff has scored at least 25% of NYOS Charter's points. Another player making a difference was Colin Shelton, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
NYOS Charter has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Meridian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. NYOS Charter will challenge Gateway College Preparatory at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Meridian, they will head out on the road to face off against Griffin School at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Griffin School is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
