Williamsburg Academy has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Florence Christian Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Williamsburg Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Williamsburg Academy was beaten by Christian Academy 42-0. Williamsburg Academy has not had much luck with Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Florence Christian came up short against Wilson Hall on Tuesday and fell 41-32.
The losing side was boosted by Emerson Poston, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds.
Williamsburg Academy's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Florence Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Things could have been worse for Williamsburg Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 27-10 loss to Florence Christian in their previous meeting on January 5th. Can Williamsburg Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
