Canyon View had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They snuck past the Emery Spartans with a 47-41 victory on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won seven contests in a row.
Bethanee Vargas was her usual excellent self, putting up 12 points along with five assists and three steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maylee Spencer, who posted nine points and five rebounds.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Canyon View was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Emery only two assists.
