Sumter dropped their record down to 17-14 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 11-1 to the Stratford Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Gamecocks have suffered since April 14th.

As for Stratford, their win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

For Stratford's part, Jacob Deacon tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Deacon has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jameson Lee and JQ Crosby did most of the damage at the plate: Lee got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Crosby went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one run. That's the most hits Crosby has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Walter Argrett, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Sumter nor Stratford have any future games scheduled.
