Hopatcong has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Parsippany Redhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Hopatcong lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 65-42 walloping at the hands of North Warren Regional.
Meanwhile, Parsippany was the victim of a rough 67-46 defeat at the hands of Pompton Lakes on Friday. Parsippany was down 54-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Despite the loss, Parsippany saw an underclassman step up: David Niedermaier scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Thomas Niedermaier, who scored ten points.
Hopatcong's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Parsippany, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Hopatcong came up short against Parsippany in their previous meeting back in February of 2019, falling 60-48. Thankfully for Hopatcong, Bobby Wilson (who scored 19 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
