While losing is never fun, St. Louis University can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Rockhurst is ranked 90th).
Rockhurst's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maxwell Moylan led the charge by scoring ten points along with three steals. Cohen Robinson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
St. Louis University's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Rockhurst, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Louis University will take on Webster Groves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Webster Groves has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 311 points over their last five matchups. Rockhurst on the road again on Friday and play against Shawnee Mission East at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Shawnee Mission East and Rockhurst are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
