The Briggs Bruins suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Marion-Franklin by a score of 65-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Terry Black was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds for Marion-Franklin. Black hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Tito Glass, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Briggs bumped their record down to 4-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Marion-Franklin, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Briggs will square off against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion-Franklin won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Columbus International at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Hopefully Columbus International focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
