On Friday Riverside take on Grant Union at 7:00 PM. Riverside come in off of six low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the team is obviously eager to reverse.
Things haven't been easy for Riverside, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They were given a punishing 0-67 defeat at the hands of Weston-McEwen.
Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout in their matchup two weeks ago against Kennedy, Grant Union were happy to find some success last Friday. Everything went Grant Union's way against Stanfield last Friday as they made off with a 32-8 win. Grant Union were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Grant Union's victory lifted them to 3-3 while Riverside's loss dropped them down to 0-6. We'll find out if Grant Union can add another positive mark to their record or if Riverside can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Grant Union's step.
