The Freer Buckaroos are still undefeated this season after their match against the San Isidro Tigers on Thursday, but the San Isidro Tigers came as close as anyone has to beating them. Freer came out on top in a nail-biter against San Isidro and snuck past 34-32. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Freer also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2020.
Leading Freer to victory were Gabbi Salinas and Jayda Washington. Salinas scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals, while Washington dropped a double-double on 10 points and 13 rebounds. Washington hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Rylee Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 5 rebounds.
Freer's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for San Isidro, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Freer will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Valley View at 11:00 a.m. on December 1st. Valley View comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for San Isidro, they will be playing at home against Progreso at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
